Hey Groms,
We are excited to announce that we will have a YETI Club this year! :) We tried to get Mr. Moss to re-sanction us as an official DSD club, but the District is playing it safe and refusing to approve any snow sports clubs (even at the high school level). So, you’re stuck with us—and our super nice, expensive buses from LeBus. The good news is that we’ll always have storage space, and most of the buses have bathrooms.
Here are the dates we’re looking at:
- Wednesday, Feb. 26: Night riding at Powder Mountain
- Wednesday, Mar. 5: Night riding at Powder Mountain
- Monday, Mar. 10: Twilight pass at Brighton (We’ll probably leave the school at noon. Twilight passes are good from 1 p.m. until close.)
Please note: Nordic Valley is closed for night skiing this year as they focus on rebuilding after the fire. However, they’re offering 45% off tickets if we can get at least 50 people to go on a Sunday. I’ll send out a survey in January.
Sign-ups will take place in January. We’ll update the blog, hang up flyers at school, and make announcements to keep everyone informed.
